Thames Valley Police Banbury – ‘APPEAL for witnesses to robbery – Banbury’

Thames Valley Police Banbury are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that took place at around 4:30pm on Friday 21st December in Ruscote Park.

The victim, a 12 year old boy, was walking with his bike near to the shops when he was approached by a group of five teenage boys who circled him and demanded he hand over his bike and phone.

The teenage boys threatened to assault the victim, so he handed over his bike, a red and silver men’s mountain bike, and his phone, a grey iPhone 5s. 
The offenders then walked away towards the alleyway in the direction of Banbury Town centre.

Descriptions of the offenders are as follows –

Five white boys, aged between 16-17 years of age, wearing black or grey Nike tracksuits with their hoods up and their faces slightly covered. Some had black Nike or Adidas bags. 
Three are described as being around 6ft tall, the other two are around 5ft, 5ins tall, and of slim build.
