Cherwell District Council – Planning Policy Public Consultation

Cherwell District Council currently have two planning policy documents, out for public consultation, which will help inform decisions on new planning developments.
The first document is a draft Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
This sets out the council’s proposed approach to seeking contributions for the delivery of infrastructure required to support development. This includes funding for transport, education and community facilities and services. Upon adoption, this SPD will be used to support decision making by the council as Local Planning Authority.
The second document is a draft Cherwell Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
Its aim is to provide clear and comprehensive guidance on the quality of site layout, architecture and materials expected by the council. In doing so, the guide will provide greater clarity on design standards and streamline the development process. The contents of this SPD will be used to guide developers and help support robust decision making on design issues.
