New Non-household Waste Charges

The current DIY 1,2,3 scheme allows residents to deposit 3 items for free, before being charged £1 for each additional item.

On Sunday 1st October this scheme will be scrapped and a new non-household waste, small fixed per item fee, will be introduced.

Non-household items include –
materials created from the construction, demolition, alteration or repair of a home or garden eg, sink, bath, kitchen unit, radiator, fence panel, bag of soil or rubble.

All household waste will still be free of charge to deposit at any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres across the county.

How much will it cost –
