Over the past two weeks Oxfordshire Trading Standards have seen an increase in cold callers offering products and services such as gardening, roofing and selling mattresses door to door.
Please keep an eye out for neighbours or relatives who may be vulnerable to these types of scams.

Our advice is: Please also keep an eye out for any neighbours who may be vulnerable to this type of scam and consider being a ‘Friend Against Scam’ – visithttps://www.friendsagainstscams.org.uk/course.php/2/friends_against_scams_online_learningto spot the signs and how to protect others. You can report any cold callers to the police on 101 or Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 03454 04 05 06 or 999 if you think someone is in danger of losing a lot of money and offenders are on scene (take as many details such as vehicles, registration, company details, descriptions as you can without endangering yourself).
