Thames Valley Police Banbury – ‘APPEAL’

On Monday 24th September 2018, at around 1:40am, a man entered the Esso garage on the Oxford Road, Bodicote, with what is believed to be a firearm.

The offender threatened the male member of staff, a 58-year-old man, ordering him to give him some money.
He did not want to hurt the victim, who then opened the till and gave him cash and cigarettes.
The offender then left.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 25-30 years old and is around 5ft 10ins tall with a medium build.
He spoke with an English accent and was wearing a brown hooded jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.

The victim was not injured.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Joe Stevenson, of Force CID at Banbury Police Station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim, who was just going about his work.
“The offender has made threats to the victim, leaving him in fear for his safety”
